Hey everyone,
Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of discussion around the rapid integration of AI into product development. It’s clear that AI isn’t just another feature; it’s fundamentally changing how we approach product discovery, feature prioritization, and even user experience.
As PMs, our toolkit is expanding. We’re moving beyond traditional analytics to leverage AI for deeper insights into user behavior, predictive modeling for feature impact, and even automating parts of the product lifecycle. This shift demands a new set of skills: understanding AI’s capabilities and limitations, ethical considerations, and how to effectively collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers.
The core of product management — understanding user needs and solving problems — remains, but the how is evolving dramatically. We need to think about how AI can augment our decision-making, not replace it, and how to build products that truly harness AI’s power responsibly. This isn’t just about building AI features; it’s about building with AI.
What strategies are you employing to adapt your product management practice to the age of AI, and what new challenges or opportunities are you seeing?
