AI & Product: Reshaping Discovery and Development

The rise of AI isn’t just about adding new features anymore; it’s fundamentally reshaping how we approach product discovery and development. From enhancing user research with advanced analytics to accelerating competitive analysis and even aiding in ideation, AI tools are becoming indispensable. Product managers are finding themselves with new superpowers, able to derive deeper insights from vast datasets and prototype solutions at unprecedented speeds.

This shift means we’re moving beyond thinking of ‘AI as a feature’ to ‘AI as a foundational enabler’ across the entire product lifecycle. It requires us to understand not just what AI can do, but how to integrate it strategically, considering data infrastructure, ethical implications, and the evolving user experience. The challenge now is less about building an AI feature and more about building with AI, leveraging its capabilities to create more intelligent, personalized, and efficient products. This also pushes us to reconsider our roadmapping priorities and the skill sets our teams need.
